Short Biography

Minister Craig A. Stevens, a native of Pottsville, PA, is a husband, father, grandfather, veteran, coach, and servant-leader. A graduate of Wilkes University with a degree in Science, Craig was a four-year football letterman, two-time All-American, 1988 Offensive Player of the Year, and a member of the 1990 Mid Atlantic Conference All-Century Team. After college, he coached at Wilkes before beginning a distinguished 25-year career in the U.S. Army, retiring in 2019. His military service included training more than 90 soldiers in Lithuania, strengthening international partnerships, and earning numerous awards, including the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal.


Following retirement, Craig continued investing in his community as a Job Coach, Football Coach, and Head Track & Field Coach at Socastee High School, as well as a Senior TechnicalAdvisor with PULAU Corporation. In 2022, he was ordained as a Minister at Rise Community Church, where he now serves by overseeing discipleship and spiritual formation. He is also part of the logistical team and provides oversight of church security, helping to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all.

Craig’s passion is to build strong spiritual foundations, empower leaders, and make disciples through coaching, mentoring, and community building. He lives in Myrtle Beach, SC, with his wife, Sarah, their five children, and one grandchild.
