Why membership?
In Acts 2, an account is given of the first church. After the disciples received the Holy Spirit and Peter preached his sermon on the Day of Pentecost, the people received the word, were baptized and added to the body of believers. It is our hope at Rise Community Church that as you grow in your relationship with Christ, you will find the body of believers that God has called you to and become a member of local church. If you feel that God has called you to become a member of Rise Community Church, we encourage you to consider taking the next step in your walk and becoming a member.
As a member, you get to:
- Be FAMILY – Acts 2:44 states “And all who believed were together and had all things in common.” We believe that we are better together. As a member, you become a part of our spiritual family and commit to upholding our beliefs, mission, values and vision.
- Be INVOLVED– We believe that God has equipped all his people with gifts to
advance His kingdom and there is no limit to what He can do through you. As a member, you can join in the work already taking place by serving in our ministries and see how God uses you. - Be COVERED– We believe no one should go through life alone. Your commitment to us is also our commitment to you – to pray with you, to fellowship with you and to teach and instruct you in God’s Word and how to apply it to your life (Acts 2:42). As a member, you come under the covering of Rise Community Church.
