Esther Smalls, originally from Goldsboro, NC, is a member of Rise Community Church in
Myrtle Beach, SC. Her heart’s desire and passion are to honor and serve God, spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ through ministering in prayer and co-leading Marriage Ministry with her husband at Rise. She and her husband moved to Myrtle Beach in December 2024 from Clifton, VA, after 30 years of living there. At Grace Covenant Church in Chantilly, VA, Esther was ordained as a deacon and held roles including Small Group Leader, Discipleship Group Leader, Greeter, and Prayer Team Ministry Leader.
Professionally, Esther worked as a real estate professional with Keller Williams Fairfax Gateway in Fairfax, VA, for over 18 years. She also served as Culture Chair on the Agent Leadership Council, taught and mentored new agents, and volunteered at the Katherine Hanley Family Shelter. Esther holds a Master of Science degree in Public Administration from Troy State University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Fayetteville State University. She has been married to Leon for 43 years, and together they have two daughters, LaToya (Joshua) and Danielle (Stephen), and three grandchildren: Brooklyn, Julian, and Kaia.
