What Is Outreach Ministry?

Kingdom Healthcare Center is a 501c3 nonprofit charitable organization in Myrtle Beach founded by Dr. Gwendolyn Patterson Cobbs, a Board Certified Obstetrician Gynecologist, who loves teaching and empowering her patients to take good care of their bodies.

Kingdom Healthcare Center also has an internship/mentoring department: The Patterson Education Center for students looking to be mentored.

KHC will soon be providing free STD testing and treatments.

We will be taking applications for nurses and medical assistants who would like to help in the clinic taking care of patients.

Volunteers are always needed in various roles.  Here is link to volunteer application.  We ask all potential volunteers to complete an online volunteer application and I will then invite them to a new volunteer orientation. Orientation is once a month at the Meals on Wheels location, usually on Thursday starting at 11:30 and lasts less than 2 hours.

Youth With a Mission (YWAM)

Youth With A Mission (YWAM) is an international movement of Christians from many denominations dedicated to presenting Jesus personally to this generation, to mobilizing as many as possible to help in this task, and to the training and equipping of believers for their part in fulfilling the Great Commission. As citizens of God’s kingdom, we are called to love, worship, and obey our Lord, to love and serve His Body, the Church, and to present the whole gospel for the whole person throughout the whole world.  YWAM Myrtle Beach has a big vision.  We want to see God to be known, worshipped, and glorified in the tough places!  Every summer, there are between 12 and 15 million tourists and approximately 5,000 J-1 visa student workers that come from all over the world to our city from March to September. Our heart is to welcome them with hospitality and simply show them the love of Jesus before they head back to their homes, oftentimes being the first example of Christ’s love and hearing about His grace and salvation for the first time.  During the rest of the year, there are people to train and send, second level schools and seminars, and thousands of people in the area that need to experience the transforming love of God! In our role with YWAM we have the privilege of leading the mission teams that come to serve with us and the ongoing and consistent building of relationships through trust by sharing the love of Jesus in the projects within the Myrtle Beach area through a ministry program we call “The Unity Project”.  Diversity, division, hopelessness, violence and poverty flood the families in the neighborhoods.  Through our weekly after school programs, small groups with teens, single mom resources and ministries, guiding others through job transitions and meeting tangible needs such as food, clothing and shelter we are able to break down walls, provide hope and bring light to many areas filled with darkness. God is moving in Myrtle Beach and we have the awesome privilege to be on the frontlines and continue to bridge the gap within our community, see the church outside the walls and in the streets, and together make a difference for God’s Kingdom!  Our heart is weaving together the current mission opportunities in our community to come together as one body- The Body of Christ in Myrtle Beach.  We invite you to join us!
